Candlelite Inn: Strawberries with Brown Sugar and Balsamic Vinegar

With Easter around the corner, it's time to think of spring menus. This recipe is so fast and easy--not to mention that it taste so good.Try it on custard pies, pound cake or serve it plain with a dollop of sour cream sweetened with a little sugar and add a little lemon or orange zest. Lemons are another thing I associate Spring with.

4 cups of halved or quartered strawberries
 2 to 3 tsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar

 Place strawberries in a bowl, and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar, brown sugar and pepper. Toss, then let stand 15-20 minutes.
